Jazwares and USP to develop YouTube children’s content

Florida-based toyco Jazwares has formed a YouTube content pact with Indian online content creator USP Studios.

The deal sees Jazwares acquire licensing rights to USP’s exclusive original YouTube properties, which include Baby Bao Panda and Bob the Train. Jazwares’ brand development arm, JazWings, will also work with USP to bring animated fare to YouTube based on newly developed brands within the JazWings incubator, including original IP CryptoTrucks (pictured) and MeBear. The partnership expects to deliver its first projects this spring, and has multiple additional ones already in the works.

Since media entertainment vet Uday Singh Phoolka founded USP in 2013, the e-learning-focused company has created 50 original animated characters and launched 500 YouTube channels (with content translated into more than 25 languages).

The platform’s videos have been viewed more than 12 billion times to date, making USP one of the top three kids video content producers in the world and a Google-preferred partner.

With the new agreement, USP will look to leverage Jazwares’ expertise when it comes to launching YouTube kids brands in the toy space.

Jazwares most recently launched an expanded Minecraft toy line and will unveil toys next month based on the hit user-generated social gaming platform Roblox. It previously found success with its Tube Heroes toys.
