For Parents

Hello Mummies And Daddies, Welcome To The Parents Page!

This page discusses all of your concerns relating to contents displayed on this website. Toddlers and early preschoolers of today, are capable of doing lot more than one can imagine! We observe how keen, eager and enthusiastic they are to explore the world around more independently. As a parent you play the most significant role in shaping your child’s learning and development. At USP, we understand how important it is to get qualitative and secure content for your child.

The idea is to encourage your child’s willingness and curiosity to explore their early preschool years. This involves putting in a faith in your child; believing they actually have a lot to discuss with you about their everyday encounters. So, brace yourself to explore together ideas that you too are intrigued by. You'll be surprised at the results.

Our Philosophy

We understand that early lessons given in a child’s formative years, act as foundations of their overall development. Our objective is to educate kids while keeping them meaningfully entertained. Hence, every character and video is designed and directed keeping in mind the kind of impact that this content will have on the overall development of the child.

COPPA

COPPA

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) imposes certain requirements on operators of websites or online services directed to children under 13 years of age, and on operators of other websites or online services that have actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information online from a child under 13 years of age.

We are happy to share with you that USP Studios is certified by COPPA, which is objected to to minimize the collection of personal information from children and create a safer, more secure online experience for them, even as online technologies, and children’s uses of such technologies, evolve.

The Commission amends the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule consistent with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, to clarify the scope of the Rule and strengthen its protections for children’s personal information, in light of changes in online technology since the Rule went into effect in April 2000.

Shapes

Your child in their toddler and early preschool years, is developing potentials to differentiate and define things they see. By this age, they are able to speak small sentences and are able to answer simple questions such as their name and age. At two - four years, child is developing majorly by imitating the texts he receives and observes. At USP studios we recognize this as the formative stage.

Shapes are one of the noticeable attributes of the world around us. This very recognizable characteristic of shapes encourages children to sort the diverse world around. Understanding shapes is an important tool for learning many skills in all curriculum areas. When your child learns to discern the similarities and differences between shapes, they use the same skills they need to recognize the differences between colors, letters and numerals.

Having understood this theory, most of the characters designed by the USP Studios are based on popular shapes. Characters such as ‘Bob The Train’, ‘Monster Truck Dan’ and 'Bao Panda’ etc. are protagonists who make learning shapes fun through storytelling and shapes songs.

Colors

Color, an equally significant and evident attribute that helps us identify, define and organize the things we see around us. There is much more to your child’s understanding of color than just “knowing their colors”. It is important for them to know what to do with that kind of understanding. Children are often observed to resonate things to its color, for instance ‘red hearts’, ‘golden stars’, ‘green trees’ etc. it is an unending debate as to which of the two: colors and shapes appeals the eye first. All of USPs videos are vibrant and a display of bright, attractive colors, you can watch your child be invited to observe different shades and hues. Videos such as ‘Crayons Color Song’, ‘Gumball Colors’ Lesson your child on various colors.

With other character videos such as ‘Jelly bears’, ‘Monster Truck Dan’ etc. you witness your child make up names for ‘new’ colors (with shade hues) they come across such as “maroon truck”, “light green jelly bear” etc. Which encourages their innovative behavior and ability to differentiate between various display of colors.

Letters

Your child in their early years is just out of their toddlerhood and is in their early preschool years. Studies suggest that, most children begin recognizing some letters between the ages of two and three years. The first step in teaching the letters is getting your child interested in listening to stories. At this age they are willing to explore books more independently. They recognize different elements of a visual better. They can now recite letters and are able to retell a familiar story. There are lots of fun ways to introduce your child to individual letters. With e-learning, teaching is going places, you can now introduce your child to a type of learning that has both audio and video aids. USP has specifically designed its alphabet videos that are a composition of bright colours and voiceovers that keep them engaged while letting the lesson narrations grow on them.

Numbers

Children in their early preschool years are able to make sentences using 3-5 words. Having developed this ability, they might be able to make short conversations with you. At such an age they are learning to talk about things they come across. For example they are able to tell their age with short replies like, “I am three” or narrate their experiences with “I got two crayons”. Numbers are abstract, often unfamiliar, and there are lots of superficially similar ones. Children around age group of three to four years develop most of their skills as they play. They can count single digits using their skills to read and identify letters. USP recognizes this as the stage of logical reasoning development. For an effective learning, number lesson videos are directed in a certain ways. Every video is well defined and categorised. For instance, number songs videos have two types the one that sings ‘single digits’ and the ones that have ‘bigger numbers’ consisting of ‘double digits' or more. This classification of videos helps in selecting various difficulty levels. With this you can introduce your child to different lessons as per their practice and progress.

Culture

Children in their early preschool years or formative years are logical learners. They see a text, receive it and are then evoked with a sense of curiosity. They need to know their elusive “why”. USP Studios understands this phase and our products & services are key elements facilitating this process. A child may have received the text first from our products or otherwise, the videos act as reinforcers to the texts received. These videos are tools contributing to building a long lasting memory of these texts. USP’s videos help them in these practices.

Apart from the above basic learning techniques, we have several other videos that include cultural references. Through our videos, we enlighten children about the significance of festivities, being with family and friends during Christmas, Halloween and Easter. These videos highlight the facts about traditions, rituals and importance of being with family and friends. Speaking of which, there are videos that are based on family relations such as “Bao Panda’s finger family” which helps children to know more about family; people they grow up between. Other videos like ‘Farmees’ and ‘Kids Channel Animals’ include rhymes on animals and their sounds. Such cultural references majorly help your child in self testing their previously learnt lessons. Children begin to test themselves by linking all the attributes. For example, while viewing videos ‘Farmees’ he notices how the farms are green, the pig is pink etc. and watching ‘Wheels on the bus’ videos he notices how the bus is rectangle, wheels are circular etc. helping children to familiarize certain texts, to relearn and retell the same by resonating it to several things around them.
